Horror Vacui is a five-piece deathrock/postpunk band from Bologna (IT) formed by Koppa (vocals 2011 - ) Lucrezia (guitar 2023 - ) Gigi (Bass 2023 -) Marzia (drums 2011 -), Giorgio (guitar, 2026 -). Horror Vacui blends early ’80s goth with post-punk in a horror-tinged sound. Their name reflects a signature style built on tight, guitar-driven songs, singalong hooks and vocal lines many of which have become modern goth anthems as for “In Darkness You Will Feel Alright”. Fans of Corpus Delicti, Sisters of Mercy, Christian Death and Killing Joke will find familiar ground but their catalog reaches far beyond nostalgia. Their lyrics explore identity, darkness, society and the human psyche with a raw, punk-rooted urgency that also defines their live presence and political ethos.
Founded in 2011 by singer Koppa, HV emerged during the first wave of the modern post-punk revival, alongside underground bands of friends like The Estranged, Spectres, Belgrado, The Bellicose Minds and more.
